SISTERTIME

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo everyone

sorry for my lack of posts but I was lucky and I got tonsillitis again and I couldn't really do anything for two weeks. But stuff like this happens if you're only wearing a leather jacket when you're out partying ( intelligent me). But I can definitely recommend the club we've been too, it was amazing. It's called fabric and is located in east London, it's quite expensive, but you can party ( which is something rather special in London) until 5 o'clock and we saw the fabulous Dj Netsky live.

Because of me tonsillitis I wasn't doing anything special like 3 weeks to relax and cure it so, half-term just begun and because I had free time, my little sister came 'round to visit me.We did sooooo much, like the whole touristic things and we ate so good and much food, it is unbelievable. I had a brilliant time, although sometimes you don't get on with your siblings, me and her were quite relax.
So I picked her up at the crack of dorm at the London City Airport. I had to get up at 5! o'clock. I can really recommend the London City Airport, because it is very small so you can't get lost so easily, which is lovely because in comparison London Heathrow is  for me just a blooming maze.
We went straight pack had breakfast and we started our trip.
I first showed her around all the touristic things, which you can go round very nicely. We started at Piccadilly Circus went through China Town towards the Trafalgar Square then to the Bucking Ham Palace then to the London Eye and that we walked around Southwark around the Oxo Tower towards the Millennium Bridge to St. Paul's Cathedral.
After this we were quite hungry so we went for dinner to (in my opinion the best burger ) Five guys
 http://www.fiveguys.com/home2014/index_us.html.
They make the burger in front of you and they are just delicious and Lilli ( my sister) was very pleased after it.
The next day we went to the Brick Lane to eat some delicious street and to look at some street art, which is incredible in the Brick lane / Shoreditch Area.
http://www.visitbricklane.org/
There was also an amazing market in the streets as well additional to the one which is inside some food buildings and we ate the best sugar gluten and milk free brownie ever, we also went as well to one of  my favorite coffee shop in whole London. It's quite hard to find a good coffee shop in London because British people definitely have no clue about coffee in the first place, but there are some gems with awesome coffee.

The last two days we went to the wembley park outlet center, which is boring and not even worth to talk about. We also went to the Abbey Road, which is just 5 minutes away from my home by bus. We signed on the huge wall and afterwards we went to the Tower Bridge to see it in the dark.We also went to Camden, but it rained horribly so we went quite quick home.
We spent the last day with beauftiful weather on the Tower Bridge, which has a glass window floor in it which is amazing, and quite cheap as long as you are a student.
I really enjoyed my time with my sister. Ich hab dich lieb Lillibelle. <3

Hello again, first Trip out of London and Borough Market

Hello and welcome back :)

I had two amazing weeks back at home and now I'm 'home' again now since two weeks. To be fair I didn't do anything really interesting but my family was moaning at every Christmas meet up about my lack of posts, so now here we go.

Beside that my flight towards London was horrible, because we weren't allowed to start because of the weather conditions and the actually horrible turbulences all the flight long in the air, I was really happy to e back in London by my host family who picked me up at the airport and made a sunday roast dinner for my arrival. It's unbelievable but I really think that L. grew over the time I was away! She is nearly turning 9 this month its unbelievable. All in all the time is flying, I have just 6 months left in London, which is so few time :(

Last weekend the girls and me Isi (https://meinjahrinlondon.wordpress.com/) Fiona (
http://fionasaupairjahr.blogspot.co.uk/) Michelle and Luise met up ( finally after 4 month all together , what a miracle)!
It was the first time we all went with the train outward from London which was quite exciting but everything is so lovely easy with journeys in London. The only thing which wasquite annoying, was, that the ticket machine decided to give us our whole 60 pounds in coins back, because it didn't wanted to print out our tickets.
But after we sorted everything out we arrived half an hour later in Reading, a nice and small city. It was a lovely day and I really enjoyed being round all this nice girls.

This weekend we ( Luise, Isi and Fiona) went to Borough Market. Borough Market is one of the oldest food markets in London, you can get everything there. It is located next to the London Bridge and the Shard and we just ate a fabulous Brownie. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borough_Market

The weather is horrible right now it sooooooo cold and it even snowed yesterday morning and it got under minus degrees, hopefully it will be better next week.

See you soon xxx

Long time no see

Hello everyone :)

First I have to apologize to all of you for my disappearance from the blog but through the move some stuff got mixed up and in the end we had no internet at all over 2 nearly 3 weeks and then when we finally got it, because we payed for someone to fix it, my computer hated the new internet and just refused it but luckily after a week it surprisingly worked again. I have seriously no clue why but it is  better than ever now. Luckily in the time nothing special happened I could write about.
The move  was quite exhausting and my host mum and I worked trough 100000 boxes but the flat looks very homely now and it's very big and it doesn't really feels like living in a flat. I expected it to be harder to live in a flat, because I never lived in one, I expected that it is really hard to have 'your own space' but it completely fine. But I'm still hoping to move with them back into their renovated house, because they told me about their plans and it sounds fantastic.
My room is the biggest bedroom in the flat, ( lucky me) and it's even more beautiful then my room at home. ( sorry home room). The only thing that's a little bit annoying is, that because it's the biggest bedroom and because its in the oriel, it gets so quick cool but you can fight it with a lot of blankets. It's not that I'm dying of it. All in all my problems are more like 'luxury' ones. When I hear what other Au pairs are going through I just want to hug my hostfamily and thank them for picking me.

Because it's nearly Christmas now, London is made up properly with light decorations and in every shop is Christmas music. I also had a Christmas party at school and luckily I'm off school now, so I have two free school weeks before I'm flying home fro Christmas and new years eve. I'm totally looking forward to it, because I miss my family and friends.

The weather is horribly cold right now, even it is like 5 degrees it feels like minus ten. I have no clue why, but I think it feels so cold, because of the wind and the rain that is constantly around me.

BUT today was a lovely and sunny day and because we were afraid that this won't happen again me and my friends went for a walk around London to do some sunny pictures. The light was just perfect.

I hope you can enjoy the advents time, even if you are in a busy city like London.

Lot's of love and see you soon
xxx Pauli

Karma loves me !

Hello my dearest readers!

I'm sorry for the lack of writing posts and blogging but I was quite ill the whole week I had  off, so I didn't did anything awesome which is worth to talk about.
But I'm better now and because my hostfamily is the best and at the 5 of November the British people are celebrating the Guy Fawkes Night ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes_Night ), they took me out to a big country club with a huge firework.
The Guy Fawkes Night is a kind of cruel tradition in Britain. Guy Fawkes was a catholic who wanted to blow up the Parliament when it became protestant. But his plans got discovered and in the end he had to burn. To show that Britain is against 'terrorist' and people who want to blow up the parliament they burn on the 5 of November a puppet, which is dressed like Guy Fawkes and they are making a huge firework.
So my hostfamily took me to a huge firework and before this  we went to eat with the grandparents, who are also very lovely.
The fireworks were amazing and there was also a huge fire show and me and my 'child' were totally amazed.
Like I told in the beginning I was quite sick, so I went this days to the doctor and I have to say the British health system is different to the German, but it's not as horrible as I thought it is supposed to be. I just had to register and I saw the doctor after 10 minutes of waiting. She was very kind  and I got finally something against a quite permanent sore throat
Today was like the best day because I firstly received a parcel from my mum ( THANK YOU I LOVE YOU! ) with my favorite stuff ever :)
And also I just entered a competition on Facebook just for fun to win 2 Tickets for my Favorite Band 21 Pilots who are playing a sold out concert in London.
AND OMG I JUST WON!
I received today TWO TICKETS AND THEIR CD!
I can' t even describe how happy I am. Today was amazing.
This weekend will be quite a harsh one because we are moving houses but I think everything will turn out well.
So here are some pictures like everytime and I hope you are feeling well, because in Britain the horrible time when everyone aroundyou  is ill ( tube, school, train, shops literally EVERYWHERE) had begun and I hope I'm not getting ill again.
See you soon,
xx Pauli
